Rev. Dr. Allen L. Williams – Presiding Elder
Rev. Dr. Allen L. Williams was appointed Presiding Elder of the Los Angeles North District of the Southern California Conference on October 26, 2014. This district comprises 27 congregations stretching across Southern and Central California, Los Angeles to the Riverside, San Bernardino, Inland Empire, Lompoc, and Bakersfield. His goal for each congregation is to equip pastors and congregations with the tools for the implementation of effective discipleship principles and kingdom building.

Rev. Elbert Sherrod – Pastor
Rev. Elbert Sherrod was appointed Pastor of St. Paul African Methodist Episcopal Church, by Bishop Clement W. Fugh, the 131st Consecrated Bishop of the African Methodist Episcopal Church. Rev. Sherrod was a member of Parks Chapel AME Church. Rev. Sherrod has been a member of the AME Church since 1991 and was ordained an Itinerate Deacon, while under the Charge of Rev. Ira Woodfin Dickason at Parks Chapel, by the 95th Southern California Annual Conference. He serves as an Engineering Manager, for Naval Sea Systems Command at Port Hueneme, in his fourth decade of government service. He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree from North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University, in Greensboro, NC; and is currently enrolled in the Master of Divinity Degree Program at Payne Theological Seminary in Wilberforce, OH.
He has served as a member of the Trustee and Steward Boards, as Lay Organization President, Sunday Church School Teacher and in Youth Ministry positions, in both Bethel Oxnard and Parks Chapel AME Churches. He has been presented the Erma Little Award for his contributions to Parks Chapel Church School, and he initiated Math and Science workshops for local youth.
As part of his job duties in assigned technical areas he has worked in managing, leading, developing and mentoring engineering and logistics personnel. He has been very active in both the San Fernando Valley and Ventura County Communities. He has worked in developing and preparing youth in academics achievement programs, sports programs (coaching basketball, soccer and track) and in college prep, SAT and professional career development. Where he works, he developed a Pre-Engineering Academy for high school students to encouraging pursuit of careers in engineering fields.
He also designed a new STREAM-Based National Engineers Week Program for Ventura County Junior High Students. Rev. Sherrod served for five years as the Director of the NAACP Saturday School (Educational Enrichment Program) hosted by California Lutheran University. He designed and taught a computer class where students, learned how to use the computer for educational pursuits.
As NAACP, Social Action Chair, he coordinated the Freedom Fund Banquet, the Saturday School Annual Banquet and other activities for several years in Ventura County, and was presented the NAACP President’s Award for outstanding and sustained support of the Ventura County Chapter of the NAACP.
Rev. Sherrod is a published author of poetry and prose. He enjoys writing and producing plays which teach Christian Doctrine and that encourages life-long service to God, family values, education and faithful community service for youth and adults.
Rev. Sherrod is married to Nicole Sherrod, a registered art therapist and licensed marriage and family therapist. He has dedicated his time, talent and benevolence to the Gospel of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, to the Glory of God. One of his key life verses is “Delight yourself in the LORD, and he will give you the desires of your heart.” (Psalm 37:4).
